We offer a postdoctoral research assistant position at the Astronomy and Astrophysics group of the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. The candidate will work on the observational project The age-metallicity relation in the Galactic disk: innovative constraints from white dwarf-main sequence binaries.

The candidate should hold a PhD in astronomy. Researchers from both theoretical and observational background are encouraged to apply, although experience in reducing and analyzing spectroscopic data is preferable. A white dwarf research background is also a plus.

The position is for one year with the possibility of further extending the contract depending on performance. The salary will be around 22.000-25.000 Euros.
