The Spanish Virtual Observatory (SVO; https://svo.cab.inta-csic.es/main/index.php) group at Centro de Astrobiología (CAB; https://cab.inta-csic.es/) is offering a position to work within the framework of the project entitled "Observatorio Virtual Español. Explotación científico-técnica de archivos astronómicos". 

The selected candidate will join the CAB campus in Villafranca del Castillo, located at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC, https://www.esa.int/About_Us/ESAC), near Madrid. The position is expected to start between June and September 2026. CAB is a multidisciplinary research institute jointly funded by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA). It operates across two campuses: ESAC (Villafranca del Castillo) and INTA (Torrejón de Ardoz). 

Taks:

• Design, develop and implement astronomical archives within the framework of the CAB Data Centre.
• Develop and enhance tools and services for the publication, analysis, and visualisation of astronomical data, facilitating their use by both expert researchers and new users.
• Optimize the operations of the SVO data centre by incorporating emerging technologies to improve the efficiency, security, and sustainability of the services provided.
