Descripción/Description:

scientist/computing specialist at Junior Postdoc level (less than ~3 years since PhD completion) to produce novel representations of 3D data to facilitate interpretation. Some associated modelling work connected to the reflectance from irregular surfaces is also required. The overall goal of the project is to use modern visualization methods to display 3D models and 3D data from several planetary sciences instruments such as TGO/CaSSIS, MRO/HiRISE, and Rosetta/OSIRIS to improve understanding of those data sets. We are looking for a highly-motivated postdoc with background in high level computing and the optics/physics of light scattering. The position is available for 2 years with a starting date in the last quarter of 2019 and is funded as part of the National Centre for Competence in Research, PlanetS.
