The University of Valencia (Spain) announces ONE postdoctoral contract to work on the project linked to the line of research “From exoplanets to black holes: exploring the cosmic frontiers at the highest resolution”. The contract is co-financed by the GVA and by the “European Union – Next Generation EU”–, Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, led by Dr. José Carlos Guirado Puerta.

The successful candidate will pursue research in the field of radio emission of low-mass stars, brown dwarfs and exoplanets with the following tasks:

- Collaborate in the observing proposals.
- Execution of the observations.
- Reduction of interferometric data with astronomical software.
- Attendance to workshops and conferences.
- Collaborate in scientific publications.

Requirements: PhD in Physics, or equivalent qualification. The qualification must have been obtained a maximum of 4 years prior to the publication of the call; the date when the PhD was awarded will be understood as the date of reading and passing the doctoral thesis. Duration: The contract will be of indefinite duration. It is estimated that the date of commencement will be during 1 of September of 2023. The current funding horizon for the project ends on the December, 31, 2024.

Remuneration: The gross annual salary will be 27,879 Euros, with deductions of up to 20% for income tax (IRPF) and social security (dependent on the candidate's personal situation). The contract provides social security cover for spouse or de facto partner and children.
