The goal of the project is to provide input to various magnetosphere-Io interaction models taking into account the most recent findings on Io’s atmospheric structure. The work will mostly be connected to numerical modelling but there is potential for applications to perform ground-based observations. The position is available for 3 years with a starting date in the last quarter of 2019.
