Job Position Description
The offered position as PhD student will be located in the Galactic Centre group of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC). Our group is highly internationally connected, which close collaborators in Germany (Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg and ESO Headquarters in Munich), USA (Galactic Center Orbits Initiative, UCLA, Los Angeles), Chile/México (ESO/UNAM), or France (Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur, Nice). Computing equipment will be provided by our group as well as travel funds. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and havegood communication skills, a very high command of the English language, both spoken and written, and solid knowledge in scientific programming languages such as IDL or Python.
