Descripción/Description:

The University of Cádiz is offering a 4-year predoctoral contract (FPI-UCA-TALENT 2025) associated with the research project Development of sub-millihertz magnetic sensing techniques and in-orbit operations of the MELISA-III experiment in the first nanosatellite of the H2020 IOD/IOV programme. This project is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

The selected candidate will contribute to two small space missions, supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), focused on the development of magnetic instrumentation for LISA, the future space-based gravitational wave observatory.

The successful applicant is expected to enroll in a PhD program at the University of Cádiz. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a Master’s degree at the time of application, or
  • Be enrolled in an official Master’s program during the 2024/25 academic year.

We welcome applications from highly motivated students —preferably with a background in instrumentation— who are interested in working within an international, collaborative research group focused on developing advanced magnetic sensing technologies for the demanding environment of space.
