Mechanical engineer & quality assurance for aerospace instrumentation.

IAA-CSIC offers an engineer contract in the framework of the Project “Severo Ochoa”. Candidates are expected to carry out their activity in the field of:

- Mechanical engineering,

- finite element method (thermal and mechanical),

- knowledge in aerospace instrumentation,

- and quality assurance.

The main tasks will be those relating to the responsibilities of the IAA in ESA's "Comet Interceptor" mission in terms of

- Mechanical design of the aluminum box that will integrate the PSM (power supply module) and DPM (data processing module) subsystems, and supervision of its construction in the machine shop.

- Development of the finite element model with its corresponding analysis.

- Carrying out the thermal and radiation analysis.

- Preparation of a quality control plan for all responsibilities related to the Comet Interceptor instruments whose subsystems are under IAA’s responsibility.

Requirements: Industrial Technical Engineer (Specialized in Machinery).
