The Gravitational Astronomy group at the Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya (IEEC) and Instituto de Ciencias del Espacio (ICE-CSIC) is leading the Spanish contribution to the future space-borne gravitational observatory in space, LISA. The contribution of the team to the mission is the Data and Diagnostics subsystems, which includes the payload computer and a set of high precision environment sensors.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Gravitational Astronomy group at IEEC, a multidisciplinary team with experts from a wide variety of fields, such as electronics, physics, and software, and with a long-term successful expertise in the field leading the Spanish contribution to the precursor mission, LISA Pathfinder.

The selected candidate will provide support in the mechanical definition of the LISA Data and Diagnostics Subsystem, currently in design phase. He/she will also support the team in the designs associated with the development of novel temperature sensors based in optical metrology, in the framework of an on-going ESA contract.
