4 year PhD position (FPI grant) on Relativistic Astrophysics at the UIB

The UIB Relativity and Gravitation Group at the University of Balearic Islans (UIB) offers a predoctoral position (FPI contract) associated to the project "JETS, KILONOVAS AND GRAVITATIONAL WAVES: CONNECTING NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF NEUTRON STAR COLLISIONS AND BLACK HOLES WITH MULTIMESSENGER OBSERVATIONS" (PIs: Carlos Palenzuela and Joan Masso). The student will develop theoretical and computational skills to study numerically the gravitational and electromagnetic signals produced during the merger of black holes and neutron stars. Potential candidates should hold a Master in Physics, Astrophysics or similar areas.
